greetings from Dr. Chester

Thank you for visiting my campaign website. I hope you find this information engaging and informative. My goal is to earn your support, your vote, and a contribution from you to my campaign.

These are tough times for our District and for all Americans. Yet we see Congress doing more to help special interests and not doing enough to help everyday people…as usual. We need a change! And I am the only Democrat in this race who will bring that change to Washington DC.

Florida’s 5th Congressional District has always been home to me. And while I always knew I would spend my life serving this community, I never thought it would be as our Representative in Congress. But when I opened New Town Pharmacy and got an inside look at how the billion-dollar healthcare industry was set up to generate profits and not to save lives, I knew I needed to take my voice to Washington to bring about the changes we need. That same healthcare system is bankrolling my opponent, alongside a bunch of other special interests. But, with your support, we can beat them. Will you stand with me?

About Florida’s 5th

Florida’s 5th Congressional District is considered a “safe” seat for a Democrat. The district runs along the Florida-Georgia border. Its eastern end begins in working-class neighborhoods in Jacksonville, and the district runs west across eight counties, ending with Gadsden County, just west of Tallahassee.

The COVID-19 pandemic IN DISTRICT 5

Dr. Chester wants you healthy!

In addition to the official information below, Dr. Chester wanted to share his tips as an expert in medicine for helping your body fight off the coronavirus.

Florida’s covid-19 dashboard:

The State of Florida has a dashboard of COVID-19 data broken down by county. Updated regularly, this dashboard is a good tool for tracking COOVID-19 cases statewide and in your specific county. Click here to access the tool.

*UPDATE: In early May, this dashboard came under scrutiny as its data manager was fired after an alleged dispute with political operatives over data transparency.

COVID-19 Testing In District 5:

There are several ways for you to get a COVID-19 test. You may be able to get tested through your personal healthcare provider. Otherwise, you should be able to get one through your county’s health department -- just be sure to call in advance. Links to those offices in District 5 are below:

Gadsden | Leon | Jefferson | Madison | Hamilton | Columbia | Baker | Duval

Additionally, there are public testing sites in multiple locations throughout District 5, including in Jacksonville, Macclenny, Tallahassee and Quincy. Be on the lookout for pop-up testing events the Departments of Health host from time-to-time in other communities throughout the District.
